Healthy Breakfast for Kids
February, 2015, Press Release
Oakland County Children’s Village Foundation is awarded $2500 by the Chef Ann Foundation HEALTHY BREAKFAST FOR KIDS grant.
The mission of the Chef Ann Foundation is to provide tools that help schools serve children healthy and delicious scratch-cooked meals made with fresh whole food. Through its grants, the Chef Ann Foundation is able to award equipment funding to schools that are committed to making real positive changes to their food programs.
The Children’s Village Foundation used this grant award money to purchase badly needed replacement equipment for the Children’s Village base kitchen: ten cambro pan carriers, one cambro pan carrier dolly, one stainless steel full size pan, and one stainless steel full size lid. This equipment is used to transport hot and cold food to the multiple buildings on the 50 acre facility campus.
